A lot of what I have observed is related to specific tractors and specific uses. Properly run and with regular oil changes I rarely see a diesel tractor with under 8000-10,000 hours in the shop for an OH. Typically the ones with less that I observe are those using synthetics to stretch drain intervals (with bottom ends badly worn), air intake leaks or poor air cleaner service (tops worn), or run without oil (a big mess top and bottom).
