Thank you Allan for standing up for him. It may have been a total waste of a good engine but I suspect it is a situation like you describe (I deal with the bureauracracy at work). I got new engines and had to dispose of my old ones (these were Briggs). (I teach ag mechanics) Only thing I could do was 1 sell as surplus (last ones brought $1 each); 2. sledgehammer them to scrap and pitch them 3. or melt them down and pour them into ingots. The aluminum ingots were more use to me than either 1 or 2.
