Me thinks your pulling our legs, theres no way at $2 a bet that your school could have even come close to raising the value of that engine, and they would have been alot better off to have simply sold the engine and put the money toward funding whatever. A good running engine that is rigged up so that a buyer can hear it run is worth $$$$, and I fail to see much educational value of blowing up an engine in that manner.
