Geesh, Mark, with a last name like that you should be somewhere close to Hamtramck Mich, or at the very least be coaching Basketball for some university in North carolina. Just kiddin ya. I agree with you that a head gasket is an cheap and easy fix for a tractor bought 2000 miles away and paying minimum of $1.00 per loaded mile to have it delivered. I paid $1000 for a tractor 700 miles away, and by the time I rented a hauler, paid for gas, motel for 2 nights, restaurant bills, and loss of a days work, I had over $1000 in hauling costs by going and getting the tractor myself. Many people do not reasonably consider the cost of transportation, which makes buying locally much more appealing unless it is a rare tractor that attracts a distant buyer to go that far from home. What is it about the words "Old Iron" that is hard for some folks to understand.
