John Deere 1050 sanity check

An old friend has priced his 1050 with 700, that's right, seven hundred hours to me for $6500. Seems his father is ill, and he needs a bigger tractor so unless the tractor sells by tommorrow he will trade with the local John Deere dealer. I was there when he brought the tractor home back in 87 and it's in excellent condition as it's been kept inside. I'm a massey guy and haven't been keeping up with Deere prices, what's this tractor bringing around the country? I've posted this in the John deere forum as well, as I have to act fast if I want the tractor.
