Put the tractor in neutral after you have installed the battery. Short the solenoid (with a screwdriver) to engage the starter. If the starter turns, you probably have a problem with the switch or switch wiring. If the starter does not turn, it could be the battery, battery terminals, cables,solenoid or starter.Try jump starting to see if the battery is
ok. If it still does not start, check each component
mentioned above.
