You're just picking and choosing what you want to take from the Bible--sort of like a smorgasbord. Do you follow every law in the Bible? Do you do every law outlined in Leviticus and Deuteronomy? Like sacrificing a calf? Have you obeyed to the letter, every one of the 10 Commandments? If so, then your argument is invalid because you're breaking the rules. If your life has been completely above board then I salute you and humbly apologize. You're a better man than I. Moreso, the Bible was translated by a bunch of guys in 1611 for a king. The old adage is that whoever is in charge dictates how history is recorded. Of course the translation is going to be slanted towards King James in order to honor and glorify his reign. If you study the original Hebrew text you'll see that the King James translation takes a lot of liberties with interpreting the language.
