I'd go with one really big battery like a 1200cca. 2 6 volt batteries in series will give you more starting power thatn 2 12 volt batteries in parell. Yea the cca's might be the same but one bad/poor parell connection will drop it to one and a bad serial connection will give you nothing. One really big 12 volt will give you more with out the terminal corrosion problems.
