Dennis, Are you the Dennis that sold a few AC tractors awhile back, a couple of D10's and a D17? Just wondering. My son & I are working on plans for a 40x60 shop with individual rooms (or areas) that will be set up in a sequence so as to drag in a dead/ugly/rusty tractor at one end and at the other end, a restored beauty. The shop will have a 5 ton beam trolley running from one end to the other. At the teardown area, we'll have a smaller beam trolley & hoist setup for moving large chunks of iron into and out of the rebuild area. There'll be a body and paint area and a paint booth too--lighted and ventilated with filtered air. We'll be able to drive through the shop from one end to the other with our truck and gooseneck trailer to bring in a tractor and unload in bad weather without geting wet. (No snow down here--maybe once in ten years) For now, all that is just a dream with some of the plans already drawn. Since the hurricane hit us we haven't even finished our smaller shop that was in work. For the next 8-12 months we're in the logging business clearing our property of downed trees and debris and repairing the house and fencelines. I wish you the best of luck on your project.

At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p
