Neither one of those tractors has a live PTO as far as I know but I do not know TO's very well. You will need a over running clutch to use you brush cutter. Ford. The NAA would have a 4 speed trans; 31hp gas engine; live Hyd; Draft and position control and trans PTO. This means the PTO will only turn with the clutch out. Position control is very helpful when using a 3 point blade as you can hold it at any height. Ford did not come out with live PTO until the 600/800 which is 2 years younger than your tractor. And then it was only available with a 5 speed trans. Which had a 2 stage clutch. 1 stage for the PTO and the other for the trans. To decide what one I would keep........ The Sherman hi/lo in the TO is a great plus. I'd say if the TO has position control (I do not know TO's) I would keep it just because it has the hi/lo. Other than that I would keep the Ford. Better yet I would sell both of them and get a Ford 660 because it has live PTO. This is the same tractor as the NAA but with the upgraded trans and clutch.
