Dug, There is a high sensitivity AM radio made that brings in weak stations--made for remote locations far from any stations. I've been trying to remember the brand to get one too--but it hasn't come to me. I heard about it a few years back and thought about geting one. This was a "stand-alone" AM radio--no FM, no tape, CD, TV etc. I thought maybe one of those survival stores or mountain outfitter companies might sell them. I'll try to locate the brand or someone else might know what I'm talking about.
