I had a badly worn distributor and found a place in Portland, OR (www.philbingroup.com)that rebuilds these old distributors for a flat $100 plus shipping. My bushing was worn and I needed a new shaft. I was much cheaper than a rebuilt distributor and I saved enough to sprung for a Pertronix and man what a difference! No points to mess with and it starts cold in a half turn and idles smothly. We don't have anybody locally that does this so I had to send mine off. You may be able to find someone to do it locally. If not, give the above address a try.
