Seen them on the way home from work and the wife wasn't even angry after I woke her and seeing them.
I have never seen them shimmer so much, be as red, cover as much sky or extend as fast east and south. Almost throught for a moment I could hear them but that isn't possible.
Located on about the 44th parallel here. Peaked about 2:30 to 3:00 eastern time.
Fell asleep before trying the Shortwave Radio bands to see what was whiped out and what would bounce in.
A Solar Flare that big usually knocks out electronic and electrical equipment.
