George, my meter is no longer working so I'll have to get another one. I was using a light to check power. I did remove the wire to the ammeter and still nothing. I even put more insullation behind the wires to be sure it wasn't grounding out. I took the starter out of the tractor and tried it and got nothing. I think it must be a problem with the starter even though the shop rebuilt it and then checked it out a second time. thanks
