I don't know if I would want to go back to carbs or engines of 20 years ago for that matter. The new engines do have some problems, but the fuel economy is generally better, performance is better, and they run a long time between tune-ups. Also stop to consider that fuel efficiency on tractors has basically doubled in the last 40 years or so. Most of that change has been in the last 15 years. It's probably safe to say that most of that would not have taken place if not for regulation in emission standards. Personally, I see nothing wrong with making changes in that regard, and I'm certainly not an environmental waco. I just question why you would use more energy when better technology allows the use of less. Rod
