Although I have not directly experienced it, aparently the magneto on newer small 2 cycle power equipment shuts off after so many hours and requires it be taken into the dealer or a certified shop to be reset (with a new computer chip) and smog tested at the same time. Seems that as the air filter got dirty the mixture would change, and ............
