Jerry, You need to check the grounding cable.Now it's a 6 volt battery right? those cables carry more amps than a 12 volt so they are fatter and heavier, you may have some rust at the frame connection there, take it off and wire brush it real good,the electricity has to make a loop, a circut....is your battery charged up good? Get back here and let us know what you found out....
