I think I'd look for a different gift. A vehicle provides a lot of protection in the event of a rollover. A buggy does not. A child, in a car seat in a vehicle, that's gone through a rollover USUALLY is not hurt severely. I don't think it would be the same in a buggy. In fact, I'll go out on a limb and say it would probably be better for the child to be thrown from the buggy, rather than be strapped into it and crushed. The infant seat itself just doesn't provide enough protection.
