Had my best friend killed by a deer 1/2 mile from his house in July of 03! 2:00 in the afternoon! He just left his house on his Harley got 1/2 mile down road, 3 deer ran across road in front of him , The couple following him said he missed the frist two but the third one hit him! Not the bike! But Him,when it jumped it took him right off the bike! He slid across road head first into a mail box post that was made out of an old telephone pole! Massive head tramua! wasn't wearing a helmet! Trooper said it wouldn't had mattered anyway! impact was so great! Killed him on the spot! Can't help but think that God may had, had a hand in it though! When they done the coroner exam they found his chest was full of cancer! Nobody knew! dont think he did! if he did he didn't tell anyone about it! Steve was a super nice guy! in 35 years of knowing him I can honestly say I never seen him Mad or say a bad word about anyone! He was a supre nice person, Hurt me bad to loose him! But I think God didn't want him to go thru the pain of cancer and called him home while he was doing his favorite thing! Riding his bike! Bob
