I agree with Mike for the most part. There's a lot of guys who got behind this year (my brother being one of them) but was he so G.D. busy he couldn't pick up a phone and let you know what was happening so you could salvage something? Drive by HIS hay fields and see if they where all cut this year. If they where he's abusing your contract. If that is the case I'd chalk up the loss to experience and never rent to him again. If he also had cash rent and owned land that didn't get cut I forget about trying to get anything out of him but let him know that under no circumstances would your business relationship sustain another no-call no-show. It happens that that sometimes time and weather go against you no matter how hard you try, but to not even make a simple phone call is what makes me really question this guy.
