Case 300 sputters under a load once-in-a-while

I have a case 300 (1956).
Once-in-a-while it sputters under a good load. All I have to do is push the clutch in and pull the choke a little and it comes back and has good power. I don't think I have a vapor lock problem. Sometimes this happens just minutes after startup.
The carb has been rebuilt with new gaskets and etc.
The engine runs very well other than this problem.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
