Worthington Tractors are an unusual item to have. I have one and have only seen two others at tractor shows over the years. The problem with this manufacturer is that they build tractors out of whatever parts were available. In the 1920's, it was Model T parts and in the 1930's, it was Model A parts. During the '40s and '50s they built tractors out of what ever was at hand. I have a Model G-6, SN 2582, which I am told was built around the mid-1950's, but cannot verify that. (If it will help you, my tractor has a Continental F162 4-cylinder Red Seal power unit coupled up to a Dodge [from what I am told] 4-speed truck transmission and rear end. It will probably do 50 MPH easily, but with a short wheelbase and without any suspension I have only had mine up to 35-40 MPH -- too scary.)
