I would hardly call that an adversarial situation. Now if punches, kicks and the occassional shovel handle was involved - that would be an adversarial situation. It would also be a true test of how one stands up to pressure.

As for the "press" saying the country is more split now then ever before - obviously they have never a read an American history book.
