Johnsdeere, I would be willing to say that your 4430 probably has in excess of 8000 hrs on it, You didn't say if it had been O/H anytime. So here goes.......The injectors sounds like they are getting real sloppy. Instead of atomizing the fuel into the cylinder (very fine mist). It is kinda just spitting it in there. Hence the hard starting under 50 degrees. Check with a good local DSL shop and check on a set of rebuilt injectors, or getting yous redone. Pump could need some attention too. Later, John A.
