how can I et my 4430 to start better under 50 degr

My 4430 start hard under 50 degrees, seem to crank fine, just smokes and once in a while fires and stalls. It will start with either and if plugged in. Starts fine if it is over 50 outside. It runs good and has clear smoke and good power. Seems to be worst if it sits for a couple of weeks. What can I do to improve this? Is their a air intake preheater that I can add? Help me please.
