I had the same problem with an auger. The 400 hitch has about 50% more travel but won't fit your tractor unless you change the tranny lid. Even then it probably won't be enough. I mounted a fork lift mast on my draw bar and attached a hydraulically powered auger. The power comes from a PTO driven Prince pump.
