I cannot get enough lift on my 2 point hitch. Is there a way to move the linkage back to make the hitch at a greater height? The travel on the hitch is fine but,the height disallows me from using a posthole auger.

Had the same problem with the 2pt/3pt conversion on my Farmall 200. Am using the one which consists of two arms inserted in the hitch wishbone, and a top link attached where the belt pulley assembly used to be attached to back of tractor. I couldn't get the post hole auger high enough to clear the ground for transport. Drilled another hole in the boom about 8" closer to tractor than existing hole(s). This allowed me to put post hole digger's wishbone frame in a vertical position, and got me several inches clearance between ground and end of auger.

I had the same problem with an auger. The 400 hitch has about 50% more travel but won't fit your tractor unless you change the tranny lid. Even then it probably won't be enough.

I mounted a fork lift mast on my draw bar and attached a hydraulically powered auger. The power comes from a PTO driven Prince pump.
