That is a fight that has beeen going on on the N board since its inception. The manual wants non detergent 30 weight for summer and lighter non detergent for winter. Some folks insist that the manual calls for that so thats what must be used. The manual wants that because multiwt detergent oil hadn't been invented yet when your machine was designed. I use a brand name detergent of whatever happens to be on sale been running it on that for the almost ten years that I,ve owned it. My engine is a bit tired and the pressure is a bit low so I like 20/50. No matter what you run make sure to do regular changes cause it is not a pressure filter and the oil gets dirty quite fast.
