I cant agree with you, politics has been a way of life on the farm. Many a good heated argument over politics has graced your old tractor. Politicians in the past always showed themselves for farm shows, fall fairs, plowing matches etc. I remember one plowing match they gave all the speakers a new manure spreader as a speaking platform. The member started his speech, saying this was the first time he ever had a manure spreader as a podium. An old farmer in the back yelled," and it's the first load, for the spreader." No my friend politics and farming go hand in hand.

Memories of an IH Super A When I was ? up to 10, I worked on my Papaw's farm in Greeneville, TN every summer. As I grew older (7), it was the thrill of my day to ride or drive on the tractor. My Papaw had a 1954 IH Super A that he bought to replace a Cub. My Papaw raised "baccer" (tobacco) and corn with the Super A, but the fondest memory was of the sawmill.
