They were made in England starting around '28, I think. I have a '25 that I've pull started many times. A bit of caution, when it starts it might gain on the pulling vehicle and you might be unable to stop if the clutch sticks. You can put it into neutral to stop, but the puller has to be ready to stop instantly. My daughter was pulling me and when she saw me gaining on her she speeded up, just as I put the tractor in neutral. The chain snapped. I was lucky, the short end was toward me and whacked the tractor hood/gastank. The long end went over the pickup bed and put a good crease in the cab roof. Be careful.
