I have a 25Kw generator that I run with an Oliver 1550. No problems and she will run for 24 hrs. on less then 20 gals with my normal loads. Summer, 1 large 220 volt AC, 2 110 window units, water well pump, microwave, oven etc. Winter, furnace, water pump, washer dryer, oven, TV's, computer(I do use a UPS).
The individual with a computerized furnace may want to consider a UPS for the control circuit if it is that sensitive to power.
