Great idea and it's a proven fact that due to the better friction reducing capabilities of syn oils, engines using them run cooler; amount depends of course, on each application.

I run Mobil 1 15w-50 in all my air cooled engines. Runs all season (lawn mowers) and is still honey colored when finished.
