Chris, you're exactly right. Seen many a tractor in the winter time where the engines wear shrouds, ducted back to the cab, and the radiator fan forces the heated air back. TSC advertises such a shroud in their catalog - the only thing missing is a cab with windows to open to vent fumes and to cool one off as they're pushing snow around in their T-shirt because sometimes gets a little too warm in the cab. Need a cheap cab? Angle iron, flat bar, and plexiglass work just fine behind such a shroud.

Got a fan on that air cooled engine to move heat off of it? Mount one, it'll help in the summer months too.
