Auctioneers represent the seller. The buyer is on his own. There is no ethics shown to the buyer. If an auctioneer does, they don't last very long - sellers want top dollar, ethics be darned. This needs to be understood by folks attending auctions. In cases like this, buyers get shafted as well. They used to hang horse theives back in the old days. This tells me human nature hasn't changed much - were schemers back then too. --->Paul
