All the tractors you mentioned above are decent. the 35 to 55 Hp range sounds about right for what you want to do, probably the low end of that range unless you plan to do lots of brush hogging. The old David Browns are tough but might be hard to get parts for. The best tractor in the 35-40 HP class is the Massey 135, best 50 HP tractor is the Massey 165, These Massies are hard to find, tho as no one seems to want to give them up. The best 65HP class tractor is the Ford 5000, and anything bigger the best is Deere. But you can find a good machine in any brand. Depends on local dealerships for parts and service and the particular tractor you are looking at, what kind of shape it is in. Good luck.
