I've had similar results from boots, just dont hold up. I'm 6'1", 245, and wear a size 13 so Walmart brand wont work (at least here they stock to 12).

I normally got a year out of Red wing Pecos slip ons. Wore them for years. Switched to Justins 5 years ago (work style lacer) and been well pleased. Got 3 years out of them but they make my feet sweat. Wolverines seem to wear even better for me (and Caterpillar). I got a pair of them when I got the Justins and they are still in service.
