Dave - You are correct. The drain plug for engine oil is just in front of the oil filter. I'm not sure, but I think the A will take about 8 quarts of 30wt. Find the hex pet cock on the side of the engine, and just fill it up till she starts running out of it. Be vary carefull that you don't overtighten the oil filter as it will bend the canister in the inside. Yes, you add oil in that filler/breather in front of the stearing pedistal...where I'm pointing to on this old clunker. Post back with any questions.
