New vs Old or Used

I'm finishing a tractor (1961 year). It was the first tractor that I purchased. I have now completed the needed repairs and will have it painted. While I don,t plan on showing it to be judged I do want it to look sharp and somewhat original. The tires and muffler are the originals, but one tire is booted and the muffler is rusted badly. Should I replace with new tires and a chrome stack or try to get good used parts? Thanks for your opinions.
