In NB/Maine there is a sad situation of a farm where it is located in Canada but is cut off by a river. To leave you need to drive out her driveway and cross a few hundred feet of american soil to an unmaned croosing. Since 9/11 they rotated new guards in and out and they chased the woman down after she returned with groceries and were very intimidating to her. Told she might be smuggling weapons in. (She's like 85) They prevented her mail and newspaper from being delivered. They stoped the plumber and searched his whole truck (huge bill for her). Kinda rough. Her farm ain't worth hardly a thing now due to the new restrictions.
