I don't really know anything about tractors, but I recently visited our family farm and was looking at one owned by my great grandfather. I noticed on the instrument panel there is an hour meter, but I don't really know how to read it. It says "Hours at 1580 RPM" and the readout is 6765. I was wondering what this converts to in terms of maybe miles traveled or something. Is it just the number of hours spent on the tractor or what? Is it somehow related to what gear you're in while driving it? Please shed some light on this.
