FJ, First task is to find that oil. If the tractor wasn't burning oil, wasn't smoking and wasn't knocking, then look for the easy answers first. Pull your valve cover and check your drainback holes. Maybe all that oil is up in the top. I don't know what kind of trash you have in the oil, but after every overhaul, there is going to be a certain amout of flushing of scraps into the oil. This is completely normal. Let us know what you find, Allan
