cdm: If you have or plan to use Canadian ring chains even for just the rear wheels, I would presure John Deere dealer for a bit more of a commitment on any warrenties. That 5410 is an offshore built tractor. I don't know about JD but 30 years ago when IH introduced the 64, 74 and 84 series basically from Europe they did void warrenties when using the ring chains. I'm not saying all as I believe some owners and dealers were quick to get rid if the chains before any service rep had a look. I was never personally involved with one of these, but from conversations I've heard I believe the problem stems with tractors with mechanical gear diff lock.
