In a perfect world, we"d wait untill the soil moisture was just right before we went into the field. Guess what? It"s FAR from a perfect world. We had record rainfalls in our area, 4 consecutive months, all during planting season here. We had to go when it wasn"t raining. I planted soybeans in some of the worst conditions I"ve ever seen. I couldn"t wait 2 or 3 months untill it dried out. Real world schedules mean working in the wrong conditions sometimes. It"s best to have equipment that"ll handle those conditions. And if you ever see the hills we have around here......John
