About 95% of the corn and soybeans around here are no-till. No need to plow/chizel/disc, ect. We still need to get in slightly less than dry fields in most years. Even with drainage, short season crops, and waiting untill the last second, we still have to go when we can. The lower mid-west is blessed with LOTS of rainfall most years. The point was raised regarding turning radius. Most of the newer MFWD tractors will turn just as sharp as 2 wheel drive models. With the front wheels pulling, they will turn sharper in some conditions. Of all the advantages a 4WD has, steering under a load is one of the biggest. I"m not that much on changing just for the sake of change. I do however see where 4 wheel drive tractors will be the "norm" as far as new ones go.
