When I built our house (10 miles from the fire department that has the contract for fire protection for my township) I had to provide a whole list of information on the fire department, like number of members, what equipment they had, and how far away was the nearest source of water accessible year 'round. After answering all this, I had to wait a week and then call back to find out if they would cover me. They wouldn't. Sometime in this process I thought I heard the term "Class 10" to descibe my situation. I would give them a call and see if they will cover your situation. The funny part is that they did write a "construction policy" while the house was being built. American Family is covering it now...Farm Bureau would be cheaper, if I could prove $1000 a year "farm income" (I probably have to file a Schedule F on my taxes to be considered a "farm") I've considered buying a pig from my brother for $1000 and selling it right back, since it just has to be "income" and not "profit"!
