Mike,
Okay what's this "Class 10 Property?" I am currently living in New Mexico, but plan on moving back to Central Texas (the way things are going it may just be a commute back and forth from Clovis) in a year when I get out. When I transferred my content insurance for my household goods from England to New Mexico...the property that I am residing in went under the coverage. They asked me if I had any other properties, but due to the fact that the land (40 acres of my fathers estate) is in my name but not in my possession I wasn't required to have insurance on it. I understood tha when/if it did that I could put it on my policy and would require insurance in case something happened on it. Are you saying that they won't cover you if your property is out in a rural area with only Volunteer Fire Departments for service?

Have you used any of their investment programs? I have thought about it, but not sure what I want to attempt to get into. I don't have any bank accounts with them or credit cards because I have more than I need now...just need money to put in them LOL. At the current time, I have my "significant other" and one of her daughters on my policy. I have a sister that is having problems getting automobile insurance that she can afford that will give her good service. I didn't know about her being able to go under me. I will have to check into this. Thanks for the tip.

The only "problem" if you could call it that I have had with USAA is when I tried to get car insurance for a vehicle when I first got back here in Jan/Feb 03. They told me I was delinquent on my Vauxhall Astra that I sold prior to leaving England and sent them a copy of the policy and transaction prior to leaving. It seems that the different departments were slow in communication over the Christmas Holidays. Once this was sorted, no more worries.

They also are offering the best rates for new and used vehicle purchases at this time other than the manufacturer's 0% on approved credit. Each time I have looked at a prospective new(er) vehicle I call them and am told that I am pre-approved for $XX,XXX and to call them when I buy with the details where to send the check to. This makes buying a little easier...especially since the last loan I had was paid off in Sep 94, and my credit buying history isn't the best or the highest.

later days mate,
Jim

Today's Featured Article - The Rescue of a Fordson F - by Anthony West. Introduction I live in the UK and have for many years restored Fordson tractors (in the main model N's). I have also restored and shown model F's, E 27N's, Field Marshall Series 2, David Brown Cropmasters and the old rey Fergeson T 20. At one time I had seven restored examples which were shown and used in ploughing matches. As most restorers, I have a number of war stories I can relate on a range of topics that may help other like minded and interested people. Perhaps my first p ... [Read Article]
