You old fossils on the site should be able to remember when they first came out they were all called brushhogs because they were used to mow anything that we could not cut with a sickelbar bar mower which just happened to be mostly brush and then they came to be widely used to cut weeds in pastures and fallow ground as they would chop everything up and it could be just left in place>
