Assume it's moderately worn, noticeable but not completely shot? I've had good luck welding up to the hole plugged with appropriate size brass or bronze round stock, may have to drill some to weaken, then knock it out with a punch.
Only done this a couple times, good results with moderate load, and saving real hard to get replacement parts. Aluminum would probably work too, both brass and alum make a nice backup or hole shaper in this case, good luck, DK
