Growing up in mobile home manufacturer territory (Elkhart, IN), I've seen several manufacturers use 8N's or the likes of tote a wide variety mobile homes and RVs when the tongues are on dollies, and even smaller units from a balled draw bar from the 3 points. BUT, in all my years, I've never seen anyone try any tractor setup with a 5th wheel unit. There isn't enough money in this world to get me to sit unprotected at that heighth with any 5th wheeler at my back, not on the biggest, weighted tractor, not even if it was on a dolly. Use your pickup, even if it means cutting down that tree in the way. Mark Krzyzanowski.
