You are looking at approximately $700 to $800, maybe more, for a rebuild kit which will include sleeves, pistons, bearings, etc. This will be parts only. If you hire the work done it will add to the cost. Add another $100 to $200 for reworking the head and you can see that you will easily have $1,000 to $1,500 in just the engine. The sad part of this is the fact that you can purchase a good running H for the same kind of money. On the other hand, if someone offered me a free H, I think I would take it. If nothing else, it may have some useable parts which you could use on a better tractor.
